What to Expect
We invite you to join us in our time of worship and fellowship this Sunday, where you will be greeted with a friendly face, a warm smile, and a welcoming handshake.
A Typical Sunday Morning Service
Our Sunday morning service of worship begins at 9:00am and lasts approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. Although our order of service may vary from week to week, we generally open with a brief time of welcome and announcements from one of our pastoral staff, followed by 25-30 minutes of worship through song, prayer, and giving, as we prepare our hearts for the preaching of the Word, which is our primary focus.
Sunday School
Our Sunday school hour begins at 10:30am. Classes are available for all ages. Greeters at our Welcome Center (located just inside the main entrance of the church) will be happy to assist you with additional information.
Sunday Evening Special Events
Once a month we gather for a special service or activity. Please Contact the church office, or view our Calendar for a schedule of upcoming events.
Music and Worship
In accordance with Colossians 3:16, the worship committee strives to plan music for the worship services that utilizes modern praise and worship music and traditional hymns. Our music program incorporates a variety of instrumentation and also recorded music. Scripture confirms the significant role of music in the personal and corporate expression of worship. Corporate worship in our services represents the cumulative expression of wholehearted devotion to God that naturally results from each individual’s lifestyle of worship. For further information on our beliefs pertaining to corporate worship and the use of music in the church, please visit our Worship Page.
Childcare
Childcare is provided in two well-staffed Nurseries providing care for newborns through age two on Sunday mornings. Beginning at age two there are age-appropriate Bible classes provided. Please stop by our Welcome Center just inside the main entrance of the church, or call the church office at (717) 867-4403 for more information.
Student Ministries
LVBC offers comprehensive youth programs for all ages including The Foundation, Awana, and Jr. Church.
Parking
Designated parking for guests with disabilities is located near the west entrance to the church. An elevator is also located just inside the west entrance for your convenience.
Dress Code
Those who join us in worship dress both casually as well as more formally. There is no established code of dress, although modesty in attire is expected, so as not to distract from our primary purpose of worshiping our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
