1 Corinthians 15:20-23
In God’s wonderful plan of redemption, it may seem as if He has this grand jigsaw puzzle and there are pieces missing.
It is not a puzzle – It is a plan
There are seven major feasts on the Jewish calendar. Each feast points to a significant part of God’s plan.
1. The Feast of Passover points to the Crucifixion of Christ, our Passover Lamb whose blood was shed for our sins.
2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread points to the burial of Jesus when his body was hidden in the grave.
3. The Feast of First Fruits paints a picture of the Messiah’s Resurrection as the first fruits from the dead.
4. The Feast of Pentecost points to the great harvest of souls and the beginning of the church.
5. The Feast of Trumpets points to the Rapture of the Church when Jesus comes for His bride, the Church.
6. The Day of Atonement points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth.
7. The Feast of Tabernacles foreshadows the 1000-year reign of Christ on the earth when we will rule and reign with Him.
Conclusion:
Throughout the generations critics and skeptics have questioned the authenticity of the resurrection.
The Feasts are not intended to provide proof, rather to paint a picture that reinforces the evidence of the Divine Plan.
