Acts 2:37-41
- The greatest bridge ever built is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- It is designed by God to span the distance between man and God that was created by sin.
- We will consider how Peter used the events and circumstances of the day of Pentecost to lead people across the bridge of the Gospel and as we do I want you to see how you can do the same.
I. See the Opportunities
We need to identify opportunities to introduce the Gospel.
Four general categories:
- A celebration
- A common interest
- An intentional invitation
- A Crisis
Pray for opportunities
II. Hear their questions and concerns
- Learn to listen for the questions being asked
- Be creative & intentional by asking the right questions
III. Answer by directing them to Christ
- Redirect the conversation by addressing spiritual needs
- Be curious about what they know to make them curious about what you know.
IV. Initiate a response
- Direct the dialogue to demand a response
- Use your personal testimony to encourage a response
V. Explain the decision that needs to be made
A genuine response requires three things:
- Conviction
- Repentance
- Commitment
