What To Expect At LVBC
A Typical Sunday Morning Service
Our Sunday morning service of worship begins at 9:00AM and lasts approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. Although our Order of Service may vary from week to week, we generally open with a brief time of welcome and announcements from one of our pastoral staff, followed by 25-30 minutes of worship through song, prayer, and giving as we prepare our hearts for the preaching of the Word, which is our primary focus.
Sunday School
Our Sunday school hour begins at 10:30AM. Classes are available for all ages. Greeters at our Welcome Center will be happy to assist you with additional information.
Sunday Evening Special Events
Once a month we gather for a special service or activity. Please contact the church office for a schedule of upcoming events.
Music and Worship
To get a sense of the varying styles of music that is sung during our corporate worship times we list each song (by month) on our Worship Ministry page. For further information on our beliefs pertaining to corporate worship and the use of music in the church, please read our Music and Worship Policy.
Childcare
Childcare is provided in a well-staffed nursery for newborns through age 2 on Sunday mornings. Beginning at age 3 there are age-appropriate Bible classes provided. On Sunday evenings there is a children’s church program that runs in conjunction with our adult study. Please stop by our Welcome Center just inside the main entrance of the church or call the church office at (717) 867-4403 for more information.
Student Ministries
LVBC has a comprehensive Youth Program for all ages including AWANA and Word of Life Clubs. For more information, please visit our Student Ministries Page.
Parking
Designated parking for guests with disabilities is located near the west entrance to the church. An elevator is also located just inside the west entrance for your convenience.
Dress Code
Those who come to worship with us dress both casually as well as more formally. There is not an established code of dress required, although modesty in attire is expected, so as not to distract from our primary purpose, which is to worship and honor our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
